Welcome to The Mill

The Mill is located alongside a country lane on the edge of the river Alyn in a valley known as Nant Alyn. which comprises of a hamlet of houses, a road bridge and a footbridge, across the river Alyn, in an area which is rural and ideal for a secret country escape.

It is set in beautiful North Wales between the villages of Rhydymwyn (1 Mile) and Cilcain (2.3miles) The village of Rhydymwyn has a garage and shop.

It is surrounded by a Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walks start on the doorstep at the Entrance to the Leete Walk to Loggerheads Country Park, Clwydian Mountain Range and beyond or just walk up the lane to see the open fields, cows, sheep and wildlife.

SLEEPS 4 – 6

One family bedroom with fitted wardrobe, king-size metal bed and a single bed. There is also a sofa bed in the Mill lounge if required.

Conservatory

A glass roof conservatory with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, set under floor tiles which look like oak floor boards. Our guests can sit in one of two leather sofas and gaze at the stars at night in our lovely valley where there is no light pollution. There are occasional tables in this room, one of which is a reconditioned pub table and two grey chairs to enjoy your breakfast, looking out onto a country lane. 

The Kitchen

The fully fitted kitchen includes a fridge with ice box, a washing machine, dishwasher and a Stoves electric oven with gas hob. Basic pots and pans, dishes and utensils. An electric microwave, double toaster and kettle. A carbon monoxide protector is located in the kitchen.

The Mill Lounge

Accessed through double doors, leading into a cosy lounge, with low oak beams in the ceiling throughout some of which are   also low in height. A really comfortable three-seater settee is placed on the left of the room with one end reclining electrically. The second settee which is also very comfortable to relax, is a double bed settee, A small window were the mill shaft came through is on an outside wall.  A 42-inch TV with Freeview. A Scrub top pine table and 6 chairs. Standard lamp and oak occasional tables and rug.

Shower Room

Upstairs is accessed by an oak open plan staircase leading onto a landing which has two chairs and a small coffee table. At the back of which is a deep recessed window looking out onto the grass and garden behind the Mill. The shower room comprises of a wall to wall, walk in, shower and a vanity unit and heated towel rail.

Cottage Bedroom

The room comprises of a king size antique style brass bed, an built -in wardrobe, a single trundle bed, which incorporates a second full size bed, which slides out underneath and can be raised up if required to normal height to make a double if preferred
